Our philosophy

origins

What started as a small hobby for the family 11 years ago, quickly became a passion for us! In 2010, we started developing the recipe for our herbal shampoo as we were fed up with the abuse of synthetic chemicals in cosmetic products. We had a simple rule of thumb— if you can't eat it, don't put it on your body!

Our homemade shampoo quickly became very popular with our friends and family, and we started scaling up step by step. The idea of sharing our joy with a larger group became enticing, and that's when we decided to convert this into a business.

Since then, our purpose has evolved, and we are constantly looking at ways in which we can make a difference. We want to make sure that we provide you with the best natural care possible, while being mindful of our environmental impact.

nature

A simple glance at the ingredient list for most cosmetic products will leave you confused and lost. Isn't it scary how we have no idea what we consume? Inspired to find a solution for this, we developed a unique blend with ingredients that you can find in your kitchen! Our products are made with cold-pressed vegetable oils that are ethically sourced from local farmers, or locally pressed with produce from our small farm. We get to see the oils as they pour out! This results in the shampoo getting a rich and dark golden hue that shimmers in sunlight, ready to make your hair do the same.

Tradition

The oils that make up the shampoo are enriched with extracts of curry and neem leaves, fenugreek, amla and aloevera. These are traditional ingredients used in India's ancient Ayurvedic and Siddha methodologies, known to supply your hair with vital nutrients. We source these ingredients locally, and they are added to the oil by slowly marinating them in the liquids for hours to ensure that every single drop is rich with follicle-stimulating elements.

impact

We are committed to ensuring that our processes and products do not harm the environment. As of now, we have eliminated the use of plastitc bottles and switched to recyclable and reusable materials such as tin. The use of our products does not contaminate your local waterbodies as we use virtually no synthetic chemicals. The power required for the manufacturing process is sourced from our solar-panel set up, leading to virtually zero-emissions for the final product.
